KSC Garden Club Honors Katherine Johnson

As we pause to remember the accomplishments of Katherine Johnson, who passed away Monday, Feb. 24, at the age of 101, the Kennedy Space Center Garden Club invites you to revisit the “Hidden Figures” Honor Garden plaque, where a black ribbon will be tied in remembrance of her significant contributions to aeronautics and spaceflight. The ribbon will remain on the plaque Wednesday, Feb. 26, through Wednesday, March 4. The Honor Garden was planted at the west end of the SSPF in 2016 to honor true American heroes Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, who were featured in the movie “Hidden Figures.”
